Last Monday, May 4, 2015, our client, Prudential Financial, held its 20th annual Prudential Spirit of Community National Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C. At the ceremony, the exceptional honorees, middle school and high school students from across the country who have demonstrated excellence in volunteerism, were each awarded $5,000, a gold medallion, a crystal trophy for their nominating organization and a $5,000 Prudential Foundation grant for a charitable organization of their choice.
Connect360 has collaborated with Prudential in promoting the Spirit of Community Awards for a number of years. Our work for Prudential includes traditional TV and radio PSA distribution, social media outreach and online radio distribution. We also coordinate an annual live-event webcast that streams the National Awards Ceremony.
Since honorees come from across the United States, it is often difficult for family, friends and classmates of honorees to attend the ceremony. The live webcast makes it possible for them to tune in, live, from across the country and watch honorees accept their awards.
We designed a webcast video player that complements the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards website and live-streamed this year’s event during the May 4th ceremony. After the live event, we encoded an archived version of the webcast, which will continue to be available on-demand for three months following the event.
This gives honorees and those closest to them the chance to experience all of the excitement of the ceremony over again. But let’s not forget that these exceptional young adults were being honored because of the inspiring work that they have done for the community and charitable causes that they support.
The webcast captured their message and makes it possible to continue to share the message for months following the event.
You can learn more about the 2015 State Honorees and National Honorees, view the webcast and visit Prudential Spirit of Community’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram accounts for highlights from the ceremony and other award weekend events. Applications for the 2016 awards will be accepted this fall.
