A New Conversation About Mental Health Care

The Child Mind Institute is a nonprofit organization “dedicated to transforming mental health care for children everywhere.”  We have posted about their campaigns in the past, here and here.

In response to recent mass shootings, including the Umpqua Community College shooting in Oregon earlier this month, Harold Koplewicz, MD, president of the Child Mind Institute wrote on op-ed.  The article was published yesterday by The Hill, and is titled Every Family Should Have Access to Mental Healthcare.

In the aftermath of the Oregon shooting, Koplewicz calls for action with respect to the provision of greater resources and support for families of those struggling with mental illness.
