YOU’RE INVITED:

   2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Eastern

Storytelling for Nonprofits

Good storytelling – conveying stories of a nonprofit’s impact and hope — is an important and powerful tool for organizations looking to raise awareness and boost fundraising.

Join our expert, Kristin Sukraw, author of “StoryFind: The Handbook for Finding and Telling Your Nonprofit’s Most Impactful Stories,” who will take you through her five-step process for successful and creative storytelling.

We will also hear from Renee Gugliotta, Deputy Director at Homes for Our Troops, who worked with Kristin and her proven process.  Renee will share what that experience was like and the positive feedback they have received from donors and supporters to their videos and PSAs. Many donors mark “saw PSA” when they submit online donations.

We’ll discuss…

  • Creating a storytelling master plan
  • Finding and selecting your best stories
  • Organizing your stories
  • Interviewing with skill
  • Editing for maximum impact
  • Informed consent – especially when telling stories that have a trauma component.

We’ll touch on these topics and more. Be sure to include any questions you’d like to ask on the registration form. Note: An ASL interpreter will be available.
